IOC Session in Tokio stimmt für die volle Anerkennung der IFI
Die International Federation Icestocksport (IFI) ist geehrt, bekannt zu geben, dass die IOC Session in Tokyo heute für die volle Anerkennung der IFI gestimmt hat. Das Votum der Session erfolgte einstimmig für die insgesamt sechs Internationalen Verbände, darunter die International Federation Icestocksport.
Das IOC Exekutivkomitee (IOC Executive Board) hatte im Juni 2018 die provisorische Anerkennung durch das IOC ausgesprochen. Die IOC Session hat durch ihre Abstimmung heute gewürdigt, dass die IFI eine hervorragende Entwicklung in den Jahren seit der vorläufigen Anerkennung erreicht hat.
Gleichzeitig mit dem Votum über die volle Anerkennung der IFI hat die IOC Session über weitere fünf Verbände abgestimmt, wobei das Votum einstimmig ausfiel:
- International Cheerleading Union (ICU) – provisorisch anerkannt in 2016
- International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) – provisorisch anerkannt in 2016
- International Sambo Federation (FIAS) – provisorisch anerkannt in 2018
- World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) – provisorisch anerkannt in 2018
- World Lacrosse (WL) – provisorisch anerkannt in 2018
„Die IFI ist glücklich und stolz über die Entscheidung der IOC Session, die eine starke und positive Entwicklung unseres Verbandes würdigt“, erklärte IFI Präsident Christian Lindner. „Die IFI ist fest entschlossen, auf diesem Weg weiter zu gehen, die Kriterien des IOC ganz erheblich zu erfüllen und unseren Wintersportverband in den Bereichen Sichtbarkeit, Ansprache der Jugend und Sportpräsentation weiter zu entwickeln, um bereit für das Olympische Programm zu werden. IOC Session in Tokyo approves full recognition of IFI
The International Federation Icestocksport (IFI) is honoured to announce that the IOC Session in Tokyo today has approved the full recognition of IFI. The vote of the Session was given unanimously for the six International Federations, one of them being the International Federation Icestocksport.
The IOC Executive Board had granted provisional recognition by the IOC to IFI in June 2018. The IOC Session acknowledged by their vote today the significant development of IFI in the years since the provisional recognition was achieved.
Together with the approval of the full recognition of IFI the IOC Session voted on the full recognition of five additional IFs:
- International Cheerleading Union (ICU) – provisionally recognised in 2016
- International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) – provisionally recognised in 2016
- International Sambo Federation (FIAS) – provisionally recognised in 2018
- World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) – provisionally recognised in 2018
- World Lacrosse (WL) – provisionally recognised in 2018
